


A. Lift with gentle, even pressure avoiding quick sharp movements.
B. Hook the chains in such a way as to create a bind at the cross joint that has been hooked
C. The same points apply when using a spreader bar on a forklift.
A. It is also very important that the
length of the fork extends at least 2/3
of the way across the unit to insure that the
unit is mostly supported and will not slide off
the end of the forks or drag on the ground.

When lifting by hand, grab the
vertical
bars and avoid jerking
motions
A. If the unit is without vertical
members, and then lift it from the
lowermost bar in the grid.
